I am part of a small garage band in San Diego California, and we really want to do a cover of Love Generation! I am wondering if anyone has information on how I can go about this. Like legal terms, royalties, or any such monetary or contract agreements to keep from infringing on copyrights. Keep in mind this is the US, so I know it's not as easy to just remake any song I want.

To my opinion it is necessary the rights for the title

if it's for your own use you don't need to have the rights of the author but if you want to sell your cover you'll need the authorization of bob.

Yeah so as long as I'm not selling CD's I can do covers then right? I don't know I think I might have to contact someone to figure out exactly what I can and cannot do. Thanks a lot for your help!
